The next one is an old one . I started it 5  year ago as a present for my mother but she died before I finished it. It is vectorbased and the Pen is a tool which I have difficulties with..Not my favorite..So I was glad I finally finished it..

The cat in the bag was no misfortune (Dutch saying buying a cat in the bag means you bought something bad)

but a sweetheart, kitten of my late cat Mimi and given to my mother, who couldn't take of  him anymore  when she got to live in a home...

Coldplay - Viva La Vida (Anton Corbijn Version) 10 jaar op You Tube!

Vandaag was het 10 jaar geleden dat ik lid werd van Youtube en eindeloos kon gaan zeuren over de vertoonde video's. Vooral de videoclips van mijn favoriete bands als Coldplay, Snow patrol, Linking Park e natuurlijk MUSE!. In mijn studenten tijd keek ik vooral naar Eurosport (echt de mafste sporten werden vertoond) en..MTV, toen ze nog videoclips uitzonden. Gelukkig was er toen geen beschikbaar internet (en social media), dan had ik geen tentamen gehaald)
Tien jaar waar blijft de tijd! Ik ben veranderd en ook weer niet,. Wolf, Punk. Mimi en Streep zijn er niet meer net als mijn moeder,wiens ziekte en overlijden een deel van mijn scrap en blog absentie verklaart.

De eerste video die ik waarschijnlijk draaide was deze van Coldplay. Zie ook deze post

OCollab Shop-O-Holic

This months Ocollab, Shop-O-Holic  has shopping, the favorite pass time of many women. Not mine anymore but I found an awesome quote in the kit, made a Google search on "cat walk"  and found this awesome photo from the Aw10 show from  Vilsbøl de Arce

I made sevral layers, Used the cutout filter and The watercolor filter, used hard light on a untreated layer. Then I made a group and made a black mask (fill the white mask with black or alt click on the mask icon on the layers palette) and painted it back with a watercolor brush on a low density

A challenge with a freebie!

Val c Has a new Be Inspired Challenge!  This is the challenge:
1-Mix 2 kits on your Layout (no less, no more) - here I call "kit" everything which is sold independently. Ie: an alpha sold as a pack fulfill the "kit idea" required. So feel free to use MiniO for ex. or elements pack... all the Creative Box product are entitled for this definition. If you have doubt... please ask!

2-The LO MUST have only 1 photo AND The photo may not be blended.

3-The LO must have at least 3 arrows (you can do your own, doodle, cut out of paper, ... from element/paper of the kit of your choice in 1.

I don't know how i get the photo into a pic, but I know that my layer with a skin color was essential(howevre it didn't work with sven) But some watercolor filters and some gruoping and reverse masking makes an awesome painting like picture!

Changes with Vibrant Autumn, a 2014 Oscraps Collab

Every month there is a release of an collab. This time a autumn themed kit. Also we have a collaboration challenge which you can find here.

The challenge was to scrap about a change and to use at least one fall color. I 'm busy composing my yearly scrap album and discovered a lack of Effen scraps. I remembered this oldie from 2011(not difficult at all because it hangs on my wall)

You really see she is the big sister of pieper.  I blended some papers of Vibrant autumn using a layer mask to get the photo clear. I also used a hue/ saturation adjustment layer to get more saturation in the eye. I filled the adj mask with black and painted the eyes back with white

I made a smart object of the frame and Photo, Ctr clicked it and made a work path (right click)

I made this 2 lay outs

I rotated the template 90 degrees CW, clipped the photos. I tried a multi paper approach but that became a mess. I put the elements on its place and made with a rounded custom shape a work path to made a text path I made a whole group from the template(minus back ground) because I want add something extra. That extra became a blended photo

I duplicated my photo tree times. The bottom one got a layer mask (Alt- click for a black lm), I painted the photo "back" and set it on screen, the middle one I clipped to a Anna Aspnes clipping mask (also on Screen) and the top one i clipped to the merged blocks (lin dogde0. I duplicated that one and applied a Acrylic style on it(made by myself, taken from a the layer book of Matt Klokovski). 

Because it was part of a spread I used the same elements in this lay out

I was very satisfied with my lay out for Jopkes designs Fa-ll-bulous. Others loved it too. I got a gso on digiscrap.nl and today I saw that that lay out is featured on the Oblog!

So Quirky

This month the Oscraps designers joined together to design a quirky Collab. It became a very fun and artsy kit suitable for making All about me lay out. So I did. I took an foto of myself I used in the Digidare and made another lay out of it.

I made this lay out with it I reflected the photo. I loved Val's glasses so I used them. I made a selection of my curtains and made a layer mask of it (selection)

This lay out was an entry for a Digidare. The word art spiral was made in illustrator> I used Courntney's design awesome kit Summer poppies. Unfortunately she's retired from Oscraps.
