Art Books Under The rain en Freedom

2 some what older kits of val are Art book Freedom (the one I got my first GSO ever :) ) and Art book Under the Rain. two (as always) versatile kits which made me artsy.

This selfie was edited by a layer with Glowing edges filter  and a layer with Posterizing filter. I grouped the layers and made a black layer mask. With a watercolor brush I got my selfie back

I live in a coastal place with much wind. So after every rain splash you see broken umbrella's in ash trays..

I adjusted the photos with DxO Film pack 3(Cross processing with lesser saturation and somewhat more lightning)

I saw a shadow of a plant reflected on a stone. It looks like number 24. I found that very special so I made a photo of it.
No special techniques. The chevron I made a while ago for another lay out (with the pen and edit-define custom shape)

I am not feeling well for quite a time. The only where I really succeeded in was scrapping. So here some pages of valc challenges and releases
 one I made for the Be Inspired challenge June

Mid july was the release of Art Book Artsy papers a set of awesome Art journaling papers. You get them here and The Inked alpha which you can get here. I made the word parrot with it.

I also used stuff from Maya the Groot, Jopkedesigns/ berna Datema and Crafty Button designs

Designer Challenges on Oscraps en Midmaand Digiscrap

Maya de Groot was this time the featured designer of the Designer Spotlight challenge. She came with a awesome challenge, an altered portrait. I made 2 lay outs with the same base made of vtracing the pen. Maya likes steam punk so she challenges us to use that style too. From steampunk to Art Nouveau is not so far. I loved the Alphonse Mucha posters, so my first lay out was inspired on that. Unfortunately Aqlphose had tons more of talent and experience than me, but i liked the hair.

I also love the work of Roy liechtensteijn. so I made some improvements in the vector work, played with some halftone filters/ techniques (i chose the bitmap modes and set that on soft  light). I chose the jugendstile colors. I liked them better than the pop art colors'(for this project) .

For the monthly Val cBe Inspired challenge i made this. The challenge was to scrap a great holiday memory. I used her See the world kit

For the monthly Midmaand(Mid month), we were challenged by Anja to use masked/ stencils for the words

The Oscraps augustus challenges

After the awesome time as Anna guest I felt a bit overwhelmed. I tried to make 4 challenges but i didn't have enough time. TracyMartin, another great O designer had her spotlight design challenges which i wanted to participate because i wanted to create some thing with her Serenpidity kit. This i made for the challenge (a recipe one) an overview of the great day on the Meuse with "Anders Bekeken"

I love the fact that Animal Crackers contained a beaver, the symbol of the Biesbos a famous Dutch Natonal Park. Unfortunately my battery was empty when i actually was in the Biesbos but fortunately i saw much interesting brigdes, cranes and buildings on the bank of the Meuse

I wanted to make a spread for my 2013 photo book. I used the template Timourette made..(for the copy cat challenge) She is one of the pontiffs of clean scrapping(some of the genes I didn't heritage from my French great grand mother?) 

The next one was part of a special event at O scraps, summer fest. The challenge was to make a scrap from AL fresco dining aka eating outside..I only have some pictures from a Sterhuis BBQ. I used my O scraps collab coupon to buy the awesome Tango kit and made this one. BTW I looove sunflowers

The august typography challenge was to make some textblocks. i wanted for the book which isn't ordered because there is no interesting offer from Hema. Abelli or Appi H
